Dudes! Look Your Best and Rock da Housedudes main

You are in charge. You da man! And now is your chance to show it in front of the camera. Making great pictures is easy with someone like you and some simple preparation before you arrive. We will bring the cameras, the lights, the backgrounds and the photographer. With a little planning ahead, your photo shoot will be action packed and exciting with same great pictures.

Things to Think About

What are your favorite colors? What sports do you play? Are you a musician or an artist? Take a few minutes to check out our special effects area and imagine the possibilities. Colors suggest backgrounds and lighting. Interests suggest poses and composition. All these things help us paint a rich, vibrant picture of you.

Skin

You live in it 24×7 and it is what the camera will see. Keep skin looking its best is a snap.

Drink lots of fluids, especially water and your skin will glow.dudes skin

Watch out for sunburn and tan lines. You might want to take it easy on the sun and tanning beds for a few days prior to your shoot.

ARGH! A PIMPLE! Relax. Pimples are not a reason for stress or changing your appointment date! A little bit of retouching can make any blemish simply vanish. Ah, the wonders of Photoshop!

Jammin!

Hair

Think twice about a radical hairstyle change right before your photo shoot. After all, you want to look like you! If you are due for a haircut, do it several days before your portrait sitting. Give your hair a couple of days to relax and grow out a bit. It will look more natural. Your hairstyle is ultimately up to you, but we suggest that you wear it the way you normally do.

Make sure facial hair is trimmed. Plan on shaving 2-3 hours before the shoot just to be safe.

Hands and Nails

Yes, your hands and maybe even your bare feet will be in some pictures, so make sure they look good, too. Clean and trim your nails.

Clothes

Choices: Choose clothing that fits your personality and makes you feel confident. Pick from your favorite colors and styles. Keep your clothing simple. Solids or subtle prints work well. We want the focus to be on your face. Bring a variety of clothing, which are easy to change quickly. Bring something comfortable, something classy, something classic, something hot. Make sure your clothing is wrinkle free. Remember, if you can see the wrinkle, so will the camera. And don’t forget jewelry and accessories if you where them. Bling is cool.

Sleeves: Long sleeves are the best for portraits. The photographer will be turning you so that your shoulder is closest to the camera in some shots. Bare upper arms can look disproportionately large and heavy.

Colors: Darker tones and earth tones are most flattering. Light and bright colors can cast an unflattering glow on your face. No one needs a neon green chin.

Fit: Try to avoid tight fitting tops and horizontal lines, which can make you appear heavier than you are.

Cap and Gown: We can take some graduation cap and gown pictures if you’d like, so bring something more formal to suit the occasion. Please let us know your cap and gown colors when making your appointment. We recommend a white dress shirt and tie for a smart, professional look. Yeah, you’ve gotta do it, so lets do it right and make it hot.

The Night Before

  • Gather your outfits and get them organized. One of the best ways to organize is to put everything on one hanger for each outfit. Put all accessories (jewelry, belts, hats, shoes, etc.) in a plastic bag and hang it on the hanger.
  • Make sure that everything is wrinkle free.
  • Get a good night’s sleep so you will look and feel awesome.
