What’s your SIG?
This is your moment in time. The photo shoots, the portraits, everything. It is all about you. Your life, your interests, your passions. Your personality. This is your chance to really let it all hang out and show everyone just who you are.
Sure, we’ve got some props in the studio, but only you know really gets you stoked. Pump it up and bring it on in. So you might say, “yo, what should I bring?” Here are a few things to think about:
You got Style?
Show some attitude. What’s your trademark look? A hat? Sunglasses? Your cell phone? Dude. Bring it.
Team Sports
What sports do you play? Did you enjoy it? Then lets do it and get it in your pics.
Helmets, gloves, bats, balls, clubs, racquets…let it rip.
Don’t forget the uniform. Bring them when you’ve got them. We can shoot them now or schedule another free shoot when you can.
Have you won any trophies or medals? You know the drill. Bring da bling.
Cheerleading your thing? Bring your uniform and the pompoms and get ready to yell!
Individual Sports
So are you big on the moves? You know, karate, wrestling, tai chi…if so, you should think about putting on your best moves or poses and capture the energy.
Modern dance? Bring your leotard.
Ballet? Bring the leotard and toe shoes.
Music
Do you play an instrument? Let’s jam at the studio. Bring it on.
Are you in the marching band? Check with the band director to see if you can borrow a band uniform.
Are you a singer? In the choir? Bring your robes.
Do you prefer classical music? Bring a more formal outfit.
Country? Bring your instrument, hat and boots. You get the idea.
And don’t forget the music. Sheet music, 3 foot high notes to come out of your sax, whatever.
The Artist
You speak with your medium. Your art stands for you. So bring your best pieces with you. But don’t stop there. Bring the tools of your art.
Do you paint? Bring your paints, brushes, easels and a canvas.
Do sketch? Bring your pads and pencils.
Do you work in three dimensions? You get the idea.
And don’t forget your working clothes. You know the ones that bear the marks of your artistry.
School Spirit
It’s cool to be down on your school. Letter jackets, class rings, sports and band uniforms all get the deed done. So
Hobbies and Collections
High school ain’t just hittin’ the books. Ya gotta have a life, so share a little of yours. Whether you collect stuffed animals, comic books, video games, purses, shoes, bring them. Have you shared a hobby with a grandparent or other family member? Bring something related to that hobby for a touching picture that they will treasure. Heck, bring them along for the picture too.
Your Posse
What about the peeps you hang with? Bring them in for a fun group picture. What a great memory to take with you to college.
Pets
And don’t forget your furry friends. Yes, we can include the family pet in the portrait. Please let us know when you make the appointment that we should expect a furry (or scaly) guest.
